2012 Entrepreneurial Challenge
The 39th Annual Entrepreneurial Challenge is set to take place on Friday, February 17 at Columbus State Community College, Center for Workforce Development.  The annual event brings together Franklin County high school students and local business professionals for an exciting, and fun, entrepreneurial workshop.  The event will run from 8:45 to 1:30 p.m.

The program is designed to help increase understanding of the free enterprise system and how it works in Central Ohio.  During the 'Challenge,' students are in an interactive environment and have the opportunity to work with other high school students to use their creativity to form their own start-up business.

The 'Challenge' also features informative and inspiring presentations by prominent local business people.  We hope the 'Challenge' opens the eyes of the participants to the opportunities they never imagined for themselves!

Students interested must register on or before February 10, utilizing the attached form.

Eliminate Project launched ...
With The Eliminate Project, Kiwanis International and UNICEF have joined forces to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. This deadly disease steals the lives of 60,000 innocent babies and 30,000 mothers each year. The effects of the disease are excruciating — tiny newborns suffer repeated, painful convulsions and extreme sensitivity to light and touch.

To eliminate MNT from the Earth by 2015, 129 million mothers and their future babies must be immunized. This requires vaccines, syringes, safe storage, transportation, thousands of skilled staff and more. It will take $110 million — and the dedicated work of UNICEF and every member of the Kiwanis family.
